WP 5 – Electrochemical performance of metallic nanofoams as electrodes for hydrogen production
Task 5.1 – Testing of electrodes for the
production of hydrogen from water
electrolysis
In order to assess the electrocatalytic activity of HER electrocatalyst coatings, direct measurement of the gas volumes involving Hofmann’s cell have been performed.
The cathodic efficiency of hydrogen amount produced during seawater electrolysis has been then determined for different Ni-Mo alloy compositions and applied current densities, as presented in Table 1.
