Technico-Scientific Report for BATIOLNAN (nr.66/2014) – stage 3 (2016)

Summary:

During this stage the following activities included the execution plan for stage 3 were performed:

Activity 3.1 Experiments with proposed materials for cathode
Activity 3.2 Determination of a new original method for the following interfaces: Ti /TiO2 or Ti/TiO2/Al, Ti/TiO2/Mg. Tests performed to determine potential applications of new proposed battery. Selection of adequate design to ensure high performance of the nanostructured battery
Activity 3.3 Simulation of the experimental model
Activity 3.4 Design of the proposed solution for battery prototype fabrication

Activity 3.1. The LiFePO4 cathode potential of the nanostructured battery was studied using the following techniques: Raman spectroscopy, X-Ray Difraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) coupled with EDAX
Activity 3.2. Electrochemical characterization was carried out to test potential application of the new proposed battery type.
Activity 3.3. An experimental battery model was simulated.
Activity 3.4. The experimental cell for the future battery with nanostructured anode and ionic liquid-based electrolyte was designed.

Results obtained in Stage 3 – 2016: 100% fulfilment rate (Time period: 01.01.2016 – 31.12.2016). The results were disseminated in the following manner: 1 ISI article, 1 BDI article, 5 international conference participations (3 international conference proceeding article).
